Nobody is going to lend money money on an unsecured basis to someone who is unemployed. It is highly unlikely that anyone will lend money on a secured loan/mortgage to someone who is unemployed. The US Treasury Department has bank examiners who examine the books of all banks and any improper lending gets the bank in major difficulty with the federal gov’t.
