US regulators are to sue a number of banks, including British ones, for giving loans to people who could not afford them. This case will NOT succeed, as it was the American government who changed the law in the first place INSISTING banks give loans to people who were unlikely to ever pay them off. Yet another attempt by the collapsing US economy to get money from others they are not entitled to. The US changed the laws, they suffer their own consequences. They were warned when they were changed, they were ignored. Recorded from BBC Evening News, 03 September 2011.
